On Saturday, secretary of department of financial services of the government of India, Rajiv Takru inaugurated the 35th regional office of United Bank of IndiaBSE 1.48 % in Ahmadabad in the presence of its CMD Archana Bhargava.
Eight new branches of the Bank namely Amreli, Patan, Palanpur, Himatnagar, Mahesana, Hansalpur, GIDC Halol and Fadvel were also opened today in the state of Gujarat. With the opening of these 8 branches, UBI has covered 20 districts in the state. Of these branches, two are in un-banked areas and three are in MSME clusters. Takru also inaugurated 50 branches and 100 ATMs spread over 15 states of India electronically.
