BHUBANESWAR: Eleven recognized trade unions, led by the All India Trade Union Congress, have given a two-day nation-wide strike call on February 20 and 21.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, AITUC general secretary Gurudas Dasgupta said, "The nation is a victim of neo-liberal economic policy. Daily-wage workers, farmers and working class are the worst-hit. All labour laws have been violated and working hours abnormally lengthened. From agriculture to industry, production in almost all sectors has dipped, but astonishingly, the government is busy bailing out corporate houses."
